May 27 (UPI) -- Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was arrested and faces felony charges of suffocation and strangulation, Brown County (Wis.) records show.
Jacobs was arrested Tuesday night and booked into Brown County Main Jail in Green Bay, Wis. He was held without bond. The Packers running back also faces misdemeanor charges of battery/assault, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and intimidation.
Chief Michael Renkas of the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department said in a news release that officers were dispatched Saturday to a disturbance involving Jacobs. The matter remains under investigation.
Jacobs denied the allegations through a statement from his attorneys, David Chesnoff, Clarence Duchac and Richard Schonfeld.
