The first Japanese-managed oil tanker to successfully transit the Strait of Hormuz since the blockade is expected to arrive in Japan shortly, according to public broadcaster NHK.

A Saudi supertanker carrying 2 million barrels is due in Nagoya on May 25, marking Japan's first Middle East crude delivery since the Iran war shut Hormuz in February.

Japan's Idemitsu Maru tanker transited the Strait of Hormuz in late April, marking the first Persian Gulf oil delivery since the Iran conflict began in February.
