Heaton portrays Charles Shelby, a character returning from war who has reportedly severed all ties with the violent Shelby gang and their hedonistic lifestyle. The new series is set a decade after the film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man and will also feature Jamie Bell as Tommy Shelby's eldest son, Duke, alongside Lashana Lynch and Jessica Brown Findlay. The show, commissioned for two series of six hour-long episodes, is scheduled to premiere on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the UK, and on Netflix across the rest of the world.
