The Bundibugyo strain of Ebola has a fatality rate of up to 50 percent and no approved vaccine as yet.

More than 300 suspected cases and 88 suspected deaths have so far been reported, primarily in Congo but also in neighboring Uganda.

There are currently no approved Bundibugyo virus-specific therapeutics or vaccines and the extent of the spread is uncertain, the WHO says.
