Trains are set to start rolling again on the Long Island Rail Road after a deal was reached to end a strike that had shut down the busiest commuter rail system in the country.

North America’s largest commuter rail system has shut down as unionized workers have gone on strike.

Nearly 300,000 passengers rely on the LIRR daily to travel between New York City, its boroughs and suburban Long Island.
