Poison dart frogs have fascinated researchers. Now their toxin has allegedly been linked to the death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

Five European countries allege that Russians poisoned Navalny, which caused his death about two years ago.

The toxin, epibatidine, can be found in frogs in the wild in South America or manufactured in a lab.
