Rangers will face either Servette or Genk in the Champions League third qualifying round early next month as they bid to make the group stage of the elite European competition for the second successive year.
Servette, who finished runners-up to Young Boys in last season’s Swiss Super League, host their Belgian opponents in the first leg of the second qualifying round at the Stade de Genève on Tuesday night, with the return match taking place at the Cegeka Arena a week on Wednesday.
The winners of that tie will travel to Glasgow on August 8-9, with the second leg scheduled for August 15. If Rangers manage to negotiate this challenge, they will be through to the play-off round, the last hurdle before the group stage.
