The body of a man recovered during a search prompted by the murder of a pregnant primary school teacher has been identified as her fiancé.
Police Scotland began a search for David Yates, 36, after Marelle Sturrock, 35, was found dead at her home on Jura Street, Glasgow, on Tuesday morning. She was 29 weeks pregnant.
Yates’s car had been found at Mugdock Country Park, eight miles north of where Sturrock’s body was discovered. The 600-acre country park is made up of woodland, moor and heath and is connected by a network of paths.

Police confirmed they were not looking for anyone else in connection with their murder investigation.
