(ANSA-AFP) - ROVANIEMI, 14 SET - Dodici Paesi europei hanno esortato l'Unione Europea a rafforzare la propria presenza nell'Artico, dato che la regione sta diventando un terreno di scontro geopolitico fondamentale a seguito delle minacce provenienti dalla Russia e dal presidente degli Stati Uniti Donald Trump. "Chiediamo all'Unione Europea di assumere un ruolo più strategico e proattivo nell'Artico europeo", hanno scritto i paesi in una dichiarazione congiunta al termine di un vertice tenutosi nel nord della Finlandia, al quale hanno partecipato, tra gli altri, Danimarca, Francia, Germania, Svezia e Grecia.
