A man has been arrested by the police in Abia State for allegedly trying to sell his 16-month-old biological daughter for financial gain.
He and three others were apprehended by the Abia State Police Command over an alleged attempt to traffick the child.
The four suspects were nabbed by operatives of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Gender Unit, at a hotel in Obi, Obingwa Local Government Area of the state on September 7, 2026.
The Commissioner of Police, Wilfred Afolabi, disclosed this while addressing journalists on the achievements of the command since he assumed office on August 10.
