Tesla's Cybercab is missing a key piece of hardware.
This means that charging one of the robotaxis today requires plugging into a Tesla Supercharger.

Tesla has gone through absurd lengths to remove anything from the Cybercab that it doesn't think a robotaxi needs. Steering wheel? Gone. Pedals? Who needs 'em. Mirrors? As if. It turns out that you can also add another common EV component to that list: the onboard charger.
The production Cybercab apparently doesn't have one. That's according to Out Of Spec's Kyle Conner who inspected the two-door autonomous taxi at its launch event in Austin last week and determined that the car can't be plugged into the same home charger you use for your Model 3. In fact, it can't be plugged into a home charger at all right now.
