Two Mpumalanga men have appeared in court after police allegedly found a stripped Volkswagen Golf 5 that had been stolen in Gauteng.
Simphiwe Mandulo Mabuza, 29, Sibusiso Ntuli, 40, appeared before the Chief Albert Luthuli Magistrate's Court in Elukwatini on Thursday where they face charges of possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.
Mpumalanga police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane said members of the Gert Sibande Highway Patrol received intelligence about a suspected stolen vehicle in Elukwatini at on Wednesday afternoon.
Ndubane said police followed up on the information at Nhlazatshe No. 6, where they allegedly discovered a stripped royal blue Volkswagen Golf 5.
