The Nashville-based chain shuttered its company-owned locations with little warning to employees, while a handful of franchised locations remain open for now

O'Charley's closed all of its corporate-owned restaurant locations on Wednesday, according to Nation's Restaurant News. The Nashville-based casual-dining chain, owned by Cannae Holdings, also took its website offline and discontinued all social media accounts.
Corporate-owned locations were scheduled to close at 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to Nation's Restaurant News, including all eight restaurants in the central Tennessee area. A small number of franchised locations remain open but are expected to close in the coming weeks. An employee at a franchised location in Niles, Ohio, said the restaurant would stay open as long as possible and would likely close between Sept. 27 and Oct. 4. A franchised location in Chester, Virginia, did not have an official closing date.
