Indian Bank launched a set of digital banking solutions at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026, including a voice-based conversational banking assistant, a personal finance management tool and a digital cash management platform for corporate customers, the bank said in a statement.The bank introduced "AI-TARA" (Trusted AI Relationship Assistant), a conversational banking solution that allows customers to access banking services through voice commands in 10 languages, including fund transfers, IMPS and fixed deposit creation. The solution is aimed at making digital banking simpler and more accessible, particularly for senior citizens and customers with limited digital expertise, the bank said.Also read: GFF 2026: Fintech industry should step up investments to counter risks from emerging tech, says FATF vice-presidentIndian Bank also showcased Smart Wealth, a personal finance management module on its IndSMART platform that gives customers a consolidated view of their financial portfolio across bank accounts, mutual funds, deposits, equities, ETFs and the National Pension System (NPS), along with spending analytics and personalised financial insights.For corporate and institutional customers, the bank unveiled IND Cash Optima, a digital cash management platform that brings together digital collections, paperless corporate onboarding, mobile-based cash management and invoice-to-payment solutions, aimed at improving convenience, visibility and reconciliation, according to the statement.Speaking on the occasion, Binod Kumar, MD & CEO, Indian Bank, said the bank was leveraging technology to make banking simpler, more accessible and responsive to evolving customer needs, and that the solutions showcased at GFF reflected its focus on combining innovation with convenience, inclusion and an enhanced customer experience.On AI-TARA, Kumar said the voice banking solution was aimed at bringing senior citizens and customers with limited digital expertise, who may face challenges navigating conventional banking applications, into the digital banking ecosystem. He said enabling customers to access key banking services through voice commands would take digital banking closer to every customer, irrespective of their level of digital proficiency.The bank said the initiatives reaffirmed its commitment to digital innovation and to building seamless banking experiences for both retail and institutional customers.
