A new police investigation follows the undercover filming broadcast on Channel 4 News in which senior figures in Reform UK arranged to get a foreign donor to pay for opinion polls and discussed a potential half a million pound donation from a supposed foreign donor.
The Met said the potential offences are similar in nature to matters already under investigation by the special enquiry team and will form part of that ongoing investigation.
Reform UK denies any wrongdoing and has said it will cooperate with the police.
The undercover work was conducted by Verbatim, an investigative group that was founded by journalists from the Centre for Climate Reporting. Their findings were verified by the Channel 4 News Investigations team.
