Inquiries come after this programme and the Verbatim investigative group broadcast undercover investigation into the party’s fundraising.
The Metropolitan Police has announced a criminal investigation into allegations that Reform UK breached donations rules, following an undercover investigation broadcast by Channel 4 News last week.
The force said that its special inquiry team would be leading the investigation and that it would be liaising closely with the UK’s Electoral Commission and the Crown Prosecution Service.
In a statement, a Met spokesperson said: “Following a broadcast by Channel 4 News on Thursday, 3 September, the Met received a number of reports relating to donations and polling involving a political party.
