A suspect has been arrested in Langa in connection with an alleged smash-and-grab attack on Jakes Gerwel Drive.
A smash-and-grab suspect caught on camera attacking a motorist on Jakes Gerwel Drive has been tracked to Langa and arrested six days later.
The motorist was stabbed three times in the hand during the attack before driving off and dragging his alleged attacker alongside the vehicle as he tried to get away.
CCTV footage from Thursday 3 September 2026 attack was used to identify the suspect, who was arrested by City investigators and SAPS at about 5am on Wednesday.
A knife believed to have been used in the attack was also recovered.
