ChatGPT Enterprise usage at South Korean companies surged about 28-fold in a year as OpenAI deepens semiconductor and AI services ties with Samsung

OpenAI is expanding cooperation with Samsung Electronics across semiconductors and enterprise AI services, with joint research on next-generation chips at the center of the relationship, according to Reuters.
Speaking at a Seoul press conference on Wednesday, Harrison Kim, General Manager of OpenAI Korea, told reporters that chip development was one area where the two companies had achieved meaningful progress together. "One of the areas where we have made the most progress and gained the most recognition with Samsung Electronics is our joint production and research on the next-generation chips we are developing," Kim said, declining to go into further detail. A Samsung Electronics spokesperson declined to comment on matters involving its customers.
