As the night unfolded, television stars came together under one roof to discover whether or not they'd secured a coveted trophy.‌One poignant moment was when the documentary Our Girls: The Southport Families, created by the BBC Breakfast team, won Best Authored Documentary.‌The harrowing film was created to tribute Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe, and Alice Aguiar, the three little girls who were killed in 2024 at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class.The documentary featured clips of the children as their parents spoke fondly of them and the bond that they had formed together after the horrific attack. Elsie's mothers said, "I feel like I know Alice and Bebe just through their mums and dads."‌BBC Breakfast presenter Sarah Campbell shared a snap of the parents at the NTAs in their seats before posting another image of herself holding the award.
