Syria has set up a Syrian‑Ukrainian Business Council as the sole accredited body to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.
Ukrinform reported the development, citing the state news agency SANA.
“The Ministry of Economy and Industry issued a decision Monday establishing the Syrian-Ukrainian Business Council on the Syrian side as part of efforts to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries,” the agency said.
A chair, deputy chair and other members have been appointed.
The council will operate under the rules governing Syria’s joint business councils and will serve as the only accredited body representing the Syrian side in business relations with Ukraine, SANA said.
