Rafael’s Spyder All-in-One air defense system.

Israel will transfer “Israeli know-how” to Greek companies involved in the Achilles Shield air defense shield, allowing them to develop a “Greek source code” for the system, a spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Ministry has said.

The know-how, he said, covers “operational expertise accumulated over decades of developing and operating air defense systems, and technological support that will enable Greek companies to develop the central command and control software.”

“The Greek source code developed under the program, together with any modifications and additions to it, will remain under exclusive Greek control and be tailored to Greek operational requirements.”

The modifications and additions would cover the interconnection of various anti-aircraft systems – Spyder AIO, Barak MX and David’s Sling – through a unified command-and-control center.
