Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus with his Proteas counterpart Bjorn Fortuin.

The Proteas will not be taking Namibia lightly when the two nations meet for the first time in an ODI in Windhoek on Wednesday.

Bjorn Fortuin’s side have suffered two defeats in three T20I contests against their hosts, and know full well that the challenge their south-west African neighbours pose.

“I think we've seen over the past two games that we've played, it's been highly competitive,” Fortuin said at the captain’s press conference.

“We've seen their skill being displayed in various sectors of the game and in various forms of skill. So we expect no different from them from an opposition side.
