He heads to South Yorkshire having saddled nine winners from just 26 runners in the last couple of weeks.Among his runners this week are Consent in the Park Hill Stakes (Thursday), May Hill Stakes hope Martinet (Thursday) and Sceptre Stakes possible Moon Target.‌Another Newmarket stable to follow over the next few days is that of John and Thady Gosden.The father-and-son partnership have had 11 winners at the St Leger meeting from 44 runners since they teamed up five years ago. They have turned a level-stakes profit of more than 19pts in that time.Those stats are very much in line with Gosden senior’s results at the classic festival when he was the sole name on the training licence.In the 10 years before his eldest son officially joined him, he sent out 23 winners from 96 runners with a level-stakes profit of more than 11pts.‌The Gosdens will have a strong team at Doncaster. As well as numerous chances in the Group races, they have several potentially interesting runners in the handicaps, including Devil’s Peak (Thursday), Fifth Column (Saturday), Archer Royal (Sunday) and Valedictory (Sunday).Archie Watson hasn’t got any Doncaster entries but he is a trainer definitely worth following.He’s endured a tough summer but his team has turned the corner in some order. From the beginning of May until the end of August, he trained just 13 winners from more than 200 runners.Already in September he has notched up three winners from 11 runners. Three of the beaten horses finished runner-up.
