We've all been there. You start a new job, all keen to impress, but an attractive co-worker keeps providing an unwelcome distraction. As much as you try, it’s just impossible to keep your mind on the job.
So, spare a thought for GOD GIVEN TALENT. He made his handicap debut in a hot nursery at York’s Ebor Festival last Wednesday. It was his first start since joining William Haggas from former trainer James Ferguson, hopes were high as he took his place in the starting stalls but, unfortunately, his eye was drawn to a filly in the next berth.
From then his racing game face was replaced by a doe-eyed expression of love and his concentration went out of the Knavesmire window.
