The police seized 507 kg of gutkha and banned tobacco products, being smuggled in a SUV, and arrested two persons at the Janakipuram bypass near Villupuram on Tuesday.Following a tip-off, a team was conducting vehicle checks at the Janakipuram bypass when they intercepted a SUV from Bengaluru. After a search, the police personnel found 507 kg of gutkha packed in gunny bags in the vehicle and seized them.The team arrested Dilip Bharathi, 30 and Dinesh Kumar, 22 of Rajasthan.
