The police seized 230 kg of gutkha and banned tobacco products, which was being smuggled in a car, and arrested two persons at Janakipuram near Villupuram on Sunday.Following a tip-off, a team was conducting vehicle checks at the Janakipuram bypass when they intercepted a car proceeding from Bengaluru to Puducherry. After a search, the police personnel found 230 kg of gutkha packed in gunny bags in the vehicle and seized them.The team arrested Mahesh Kumar, 28 of Rajasthan and Bharath, 36 of Bengaluru.
