Getting a prescription should be the hard part. Instead, for millions of patients, the real ordeal begins after the doctor writes the script: insurance approvals, prior authorizations, financial assistance paperwork, pharmacy routing. Forus, a New York-based AI healthcare startup, just raised $150 million in a Series C round to keep automating that entire mess away.

The round values Forus at $3 billion. Four months ago, the company was worth roughly a third of that.

Who wrote the check

Bain Capital Ventures led the Series C, continuing a relationship that stretches back to Forus’s seed stage. The investor roster includes Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, Accel, Redpoint Ventures, BoxGroup, and Pear VC.

This isn’t the company’s first massive raise this year. Back in May 2026, Forus (then still going by its previous name, Tandem) pulled in over $160 million in a Series B round. Combined with the latest infusion, total funding now exceeds $300 million.
