DStv will launch five new South African packages on 17 September 2026, priced from R99 to R799 a month, including dedicated Sports and Movies & Series package.
MultiChoice, a Canal+ company, has announced major changes to its DStv streaming packages, with a new five-tier offering set to launch in South Africa later this month.
The announcement was made on Monday during a media briefing at MultiChoice City in Randburg, where Willington Ngwepe, Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice (Pty) Ltd, outlined the company’s plans and the thinking behind the new packages.
The new subscriber packages will launch in the South African market on September 17, 2026, and will consist of five options: Starter, Select, Sports, Movies & Series, and Premium.
The announcement follows leaked details of the proposed packages previously reported by BusinessTech.
