DStv package shake-up: Reported prices, channels and what subscribers should know

MultiChoice has responded to reports of new DStv packages from September 17.

Rumours of a new DStv package structure have South Africans asking one big question: could subscribers finally be able to pay for the content they actually want?

Excitement has been building online following reports that MultiChoice could introduce a dedicated sports package as part of a major overhaul of its DStv streaming offering.

According to leaked details reported by BusinessTech, the proposed line-up would consist of five packages: Starter, Select, Sports, Movies & Series, and Premium.

The reported changes are said to come into effect on September 17, although MultiChoice has not confirmed either the proposed packages or the prices.
