Anovuyo Oncke was last seen on Saturday, September 6 2025.
Residents of Riemvasmaak informal settlement in Phumlani Village say they are prepared to raise money for search dogs themselves as eight-year-old Anovuyo Oncke remains missing a year after she disappeared.
The community has been calling for another K9 search and says it will find the money for the dogs if necessary.
Community worker Beryl Williams said residents have been asking for the K9 unit to assist in the search for the Grade 1 Perivale Primary School learner.
Williams said they will not stop searching for the missing eight-year-old.
