Anovuyo Oncke has been missing since September 7.
With the first anniversary of eight-year-old Anovuyo Oncke’s disappearance just days away, Western Cape police have renewed their appeal for information and are offering a cash reward of up to R50,000 for information that could bring the missing child home safely.
Anovuyo, a Grade 1 learner from Perivale Primary School, disappeared from the Riemvasmaak informal settlement in Phumlani Village, Lotus River, in September last year and has not been seen since.
The Wynberg Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit said investigators were continuing to follow up on all available leads as they worked to reunite the child with her family.
According to the latest police appeal, Anovuyo went missing on September 7, 2025, after going to play with friends in Riemvasmaak, Phumlani Village, and never returned.
