Stan Kroenke is on the verge of achieving something never before seen in U.S. sports.
With his $4 billion deal to buy the Los Angeles Angels ⚾, which was announced earlier this week, Kroenke has set the stage to control franchises in all five major U.S. men’s leagues at the same time. It’s the Sports EGOT, the ownership Grand Slam, billionaire Infinity Stones.
Kroenke’s ownership portfolio already includes the NFL’s Rams 🏈, NBA’s Nuggets 🏀, NHL’s Avalanche 🏒 and MLS’s Rapids ⚽. He also owns the NLL’s Colorado Mammoth 🥍, and the Arsenal men’s ⚽ and women’s clubs ⚽. In total, Sportico values those assets at more than $28 billion.
How vast is Kroenke’s empire? Had he owned the Angels at the start of this year, his teams would have been in action at least 311 of the 365 days in 2026. That’s counting regular season and postseason/tournament games, but not preseason or exhibitions. That number could grow as the year progresses, particularly as the women’s Champions League schedule takes form.
