Jordan Hermann celebrates his maiden T20I century in the T20I tri-series final against Zimbabwe on Sunday.
The Proteas overpowered neighbours Zimbabwe to clinch the T20I tri-series title in a one-sided final in Windhoek on Sunday.
The Proteas posted 205/5 after opener Jordan Hermann struck a maiden T20I half-century, setting Zimbabwe a stiff target as the two sides met for the title on a placid Windhoek surface.
Hermann was back at the top of the order after the competition’s leading run-scorer, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, was ruled out with a groin injury. The Proteas also lost all-rounder Andile Simelane after the 23-year-old suffered a side strain.
Having won the toss and elected to bat, the Proteas saw Hermann and Connor Esterhuizen set up the perfect platform, putting on 84 for the first wicket.
