Ukrainian Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte held a phone call during which they discussed partners' support for air defense, additional funding for Ukraine's defense, and preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
The sides discussed Ukraine's immediate needs, primarily the provision of air defense systems and additional funding for Ukrainian forces. Khmara stressed the importance of ensuring coordinated support from partners in these areas.
The main focus was preparations for an effective Ramstein-format meeting, which is scheduled to take place in the coming days.
