Heads and teachers of 213 schools in Tiruppur district were, on Saturday (September 5, 2026), felicitated by the government authorities for registering 100% pass in the 2025-26 Class X and XII examinations.Flanked by District Collector Manish Narnaware, Minister for Animal Husbandry S. Kamali handed over the certificates to 2,200 participants comprising school heads, principals, and teachers from government, aided, and private schools.Tamil Nadu continues to be the leading State in higher education enrolment, the Minister said, and urged teachers see through excellence of students in sports and other co-curricular and extra-curricular activities as well.Tiruppur recorded 96.28% overall pass in Class X examination, with 27,933 students passing out of 29,013 who appeared.In the Class XII public examination, the pass percentage was 97.03%, with 25,388 students out of 26,166 candidates securing pass marks.Deputy Mayor of Tiruppur City Corporation Balasubramaniam; Chairman of Kangeyam Educational Institutions S. Ramalingam; Chief Educational Officer Punitha Anthoniyammal; and Palladam MLA Ramkumar also took part in the felicitation ceremony that was organised at Kangeyam College.
