An analysis into the overall performance of schools in the wake of Class XII public exam results will be undertaken shortly, school heads have reportedly been told by the officials.
Tiruppur district was placed 11th in terms of overall performance with 97.03%. Out of 213 schools, 113 secured cent percent pass.
The authorities consider the decline in the overall position from third spot in 2025 and first place in 2024 as a cause for concern.
The main emphasis, sources said, will be on performance of students in government schools. This time around, 15 out of 77 government schools secured cent percent pass.
In the 2025 exam, 18 government schools and two municipality schools secured cent percent pass. The district had secured 97.53% pass, ranking third in Tamil Nadu. In 2024, Tiruppur district had emerged first in terms of overall pass percentage with 97.45%, and 20 government schools secured cent percent pass.
