A UAE humanitarian task force has joined Nepali authorities in urgent search and rescue operations following devastating flash floods.
The death toll from floods and mudslides that struck Nepal and Tibet on August 26 has exceeded 1,300, with more than 5,500 people still missing.
The UAE has transported 148 tonnes of aid, including food, shelter materials and power generators, across three flights to flood-hit Nepal.
Two survivors, Sanjaya Shah and Kabir Maharjan, were dramatically rescued from a flooded hydropower tunnel nine days after the disaster struck.
