A UAE search and rescue team has arrived in Nepal following devastating flash floods that have killed more than 1,200 people, with thousands still missing.
The emergency response includes a $10 million relief package delivered through the UAE Aid Agency under the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed.
Three aircraft have so far transported more than 148 tonnes of food supplies, shelter materials, essential goods and power generators to the disaster-stricken country.
A glacier collapse and landslide triggered the severe flash flooding, causing widespread destruction along the Nepal-Tibet border.
