A UAE relief mission has travelled to Nepal to aid search and rescue operations following flash floods and landslides that killed more than 1,000 people.
The specialist team includes members of the UAE Joint Operations Command, Dubai Police search and rescue team and the UAE Aid Agency.
The UAE flew 128 tonnes of food supplies, shelter materials, essential goods and power generators to Nepal across two aircraft.
The UAE announced a $10 million humanitarian aid package to support critical relief efforts, delivered through the UAE Aid Agency under President Sheikh Mohamed's directives.
