U.S. President Donald Trump said his special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will travel to Moscow and Kyiv with a proposal to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.
He made the statement to reporters at the White House on Friday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
Asked whether Witkoff and Kushner would bring new proposals with them, Trump said: “They’re bringing with them a proposal to end the war.”
The President also said he hoped the diplomatic efforts would succeed, emphasizing that Witkoff and Kushner are “two great negotiators.”
“We sent them over to see whether there’s enough to get something done. And maybe there’s a good chance we will do,” Trump said.
