BLACKPINK‘s members have stayed private about their love lives for as long as they’ve been making music, and in her new documentary, LISA explained why.
At one point in Always Lalisa — which is set to premiere soon at the Toronto International Film Festival — the Thai performer opened up about the restrictions K-pop culture places on idols when it comes to romance. “In K-pop culture, we can’t date,” she said, according to a report by Toronto Star published Thursday (Sept. 3). “If you’re seeing someone and you get caught by paparazzi, your popularity drops.”
