This allows employees to spend quality time with loved ones following the Christmas rush.Britain's largest discounter will close on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, before reopening on Sunday, December 27, 2026. Stores will also remain closed on New Year's Day, January 1, and reopen on Saturday January 2, 2027.Rachel Geary, Communications Director at Aldi UK, said: "Closing our stores on Boxing Day is one way of saying thank you and giving colleagues a proper chance to rest, switch off and spend more time with the people closest to them."Opening hours will differ locally in the run-up to Christmas, with many branches extending trading times. This helps shoppers get everything they need for the festive season.Aldi Store Assistants earn £13.50 per hour nationally and £14.88 inside the M25.
