Arvato and Broadcom integrate security for sovereign private cloud
Sovereign private cloud services are becoming a practical answer for regulated organizations that need cloud operations without surrendering control of sensitive data. Arvato Systems GmbH and VMware by Broadcom Inc. are applying their decade-long partnership to that requirement.
Arvato uses VMware Cloud Foundation as the foundation for managed private cloud services hosted in its own data centers, according to Hansjörg Metzger (pictured, left), managing director of multi-cloud and infrastructure at Arvato Systems. Its policy- and role-based environment allows the company to offer self-managed, co-managed and fully managed operating models.
“We host everything in our own data centers for healthcare, government, regulated industries,” he said. “They know where the data are. They know that the data are secure. They know who operates these data.”
