A 26-year-old rowdy-sheeter who allegedly entered Bengaluru in violation of an externment order and committed a dacoity with four associates has been arrested by the Channammanakere Achukattu police. The accused, identified as Dhanush, had been externed from Bengaluru for one year by the Special Executive Magistrate and DCP, South Division.According to the police, the complainant, a resident of Manjunatha Nagar in Ittamadu, approached the Channammanakere Achukattu police on August 20, alleging that he was assaulted and threatened by Dhanush and four others on August 16. The incident allegedly occurred when the complainant was standing outside a bar in Manjunatha Nagar. The accused are said to have assaulted him and forcibly taken away the cash he was carrying.Based on the complaint, the police registered a dacoity case and launched an investigation. Acting on the information, a police team traced the accused and arrested Dhanush and his four associates at Kunigal.During interrogation, the police found that Dhanush had been served an externment order on July 10, directing him to leave Bengaluru district and the Bengaluru City Police commissionerate limits.Under the order, he was required to stay at Sanaba village, Amruthur Hobli, Kunigal taluk, Tumakuru district, for one year from August 4, 2026, to August 3, 2027.Despite the order, Dhanush allegedly returned to Bengaluru and, along with his associates, committed the dacoity, the police said. The accused reportedly admitted their involvement during interrogation. All five accused were produced before a court on August 22 and were subsequently remanded in judicial custody.
