Sending a strong signal that they would act tough against anti-social elements, Kurnool district administration has externed a rowdy-sheeter from the district for his involvement in repeated criminal offences.

According to Superintendent of Police Vikrant Patil, “The history-sheeter of Kurnool IV Town police station, Vadde Tulasi Kumar, was involved in five criminal cases, and a rowdy-sheet was opened against him. The cases against him include murders, robberies, attempted murder, attacks on SCs and STs, and others. Tulasi Kumar was remanded on previous occasions, but he continued his criminal activities after coming out,” the SP said.

Based on the recommendations of the SP, District Collector Dr. A. Siri issued orders externing Tulasi Kumar from the district. Tulasi Kumar’s father Vadde Ramanjaneyulu and another rowdy-sheeter Pathan Imran Khan were also externed from the district a few days back.

Mr. Vikrant Patil warned anti-social elements of stern action if they continue to engage in criminal activities and disrupt law and order. “The police will not only recommend externment but will also invoke the PD Act against such individuals,” he said, adding that more anti-social elements are under scrutiny and proposals are being prepared for their externment.
