Deutsche Telekom has announced a refresh to its management team, with the company naming Jan Hofmeyr as its new technology chief.
Hofmeyr, who most recently served as VP of telecom at AWS, will join the German telco's board and become the carrier's next CTO on November 1.

He will succeed Abdu Mudesir in the role, who left the company at the end of March to take the top tech job at US operator Verizon, one of T-Mobile's big rivals.
The appointment of Hofmeyr brings an end to the company's search for Mudesir's replacement. He's been at AWS since 2021, and previously spent 15 years at Comcast.
