On September 2, a Russian drone struck near Train No. 53/54 (Odesa–Dnipro) at one of the stations on the Dnipro Railway, damaging the locomotive; no one was injured.
Ukrzaliznytsia JSC reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Thanks to the efforts of Ukrzaliznytsia’s monitoring team, passengers, the train crew, and the locomotive crew were evacuated to a safe distance in advance. At the moment of impact, everyone was safe. The locomotive absorbed the blow,” the statement reads.
Ukrzaliznytsia thanks all the railway workers involved for their precise and coordinated efforts, and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration for its prompt assistance.
