Russian forces struck the locomotive of a passenger train in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region with a drone, but passengers and railway workers managed to evacuate before the impact.
According to Ukrinform, Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) reported the attack on Telegram.
"A UAV struck the locomotive. Our monitoring team warned the train crew of the potential threat in time, allowing railway workers and passengers to evacuate the carriages before the strike," the statement said.
Ukrzaliznytsia said its staff are working to ensure that passengers can continue their journey via the safest possible route and reach their destinations with minimal delays.
