Abba Kabir Yusuf, Kano State Governor, has described Kashim Shettima, Vice President of Nigeria, as a critical asset to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, citing his years of experience in state and federal governance as valuable to the government’s economic and development agenda.
Yusuf made the assessment while congratulating Shettima on his 60th birthday, according to a statement issued on Tuesday by Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Director-General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Kano.
The governor said Shettima’s political and administrative experience, spanning his tenure as governor of Borno State, service in the Senate and current position as Vice President, had positioned him to make meaningful contributions to national policymaking.
He described Shettima as a seasoned politician and administrator whose understanding of governance had continued to support the Tinubu administration at a period when the country is grappling with economic pressures and the need to accelerate development.
Yusuf particularly praised the Vice President’s courage, humility and commitment to public service, saying these qualities had strengthened his capacity to provide purposeful leadership.
