Salesforce and Anthropic announced a strategic partnership on August 26, branding it “Claudeforce,” a deep integration that embeds Anthropic’s Claude AI models directly into the core of Salesforce’s platform.

The deal comes with serious financial firepower behind it. Salesforce plans to invest approximately $300 million in Anthropic tokens over the course of 2026, on top of an existing equity stake in the AI company valued at roughly $5 billion.

What Claudeforce actually does

The centerpiece of the partnership is a product called “Salesforce in Claude,” which ships with 37 prebuilt sales skills. Those skills let users interact with live CRM data directly through Claude’s interface. Pipeline updates, governed actions, automated tasks: all executable without toggling back to a traditional Salesforce dashboard.

Claude will also become the default reasoning model powering Salesforce’s Agentforce product suite, sitting at the heart of the Atlas Reasoning Engine, the company’s AI backbone for autonomous agent workflows.
